Friyay // August 12

Ahhhh happy Friday! Today is my last day of work! I can't believe the summer has just about officially come to a close. I'm heading home tomorrow morning because I have this coming week free before I start classes on the 22nd, so I'm hoping to relax a little, get some blogging stuff done (really excited about a few things I have planned, including a couple photoshoots!), and spend time with family and friends before then.

+ Katelyn's post on improving your Instagram presence is so helpful and spot-on. I definitely re-did my own profile after reading her awesome tips!

+ If you didn't know, I want to eventually work in the music industry as a band or tour manager, and I've been following Danny on my personal twitter (just remembered to follow on my blog account!) for a few months now. He put out the second installment of his series "The Tour Manager's Guide to Being a Tour Manager: How to Get The Job" yesterday, and I loved it. Definitely worth a read, even if you're not planning to work in music but love music and are interested in the industry.

+ I'll definitely be baking something while I'm home this week and have access to a full kitchen. I've been craving a classic chocolate chip cookie, so I'm thinking this half-batch, no-mixer recipe. More than likely going to double it to a full batch, though, because one dozen chocolate chip cookies isn't nearly enough ;)

+ This week on The Icing on the Playlist: an artist spotlight on Bad Suns, my transfer story, #goals, and five easy and healthy recipes for people who hate to cook.

What are you up to this weekend?

  1. Ahh hope you've been having a great weekend! You've definitely got me craving ice cream and chocolate cookies now haha :D will definitely check out Katelyn's instagram post! Love your blog :D xx
