How to Be Healthier + Feel Better

+ Exfoliate once a week
You don't even have to buy a new face scrub if you don't want to— you can actually add a pinch of sugar to your normal face wash (the larger the grains, the better!).

+ Work out
I've started doing cardio three times a week, and I really do feel better about myself because I'm taking steps to be healthier. Use that gym membership, sign up for a yoga or cycling class, or go for a run or bike ride.

+ Drink tons of water
Try and get in a liter or more a day. Keeps you from getting dehydrated, especially in the summer, and it's great for your skin.

+ Get enough sleep and try to stick to a sleeping schedule
I personally don't function well on less than 10 hours of sleep, which probably isn't typical, but hey. On week nights during the summer, I try to go to sleep by 11, so I can (sort of) get out of bed when my alarm goes off at 6:50 AM. You should keep the same schedule on weekends, too, so your body is on a regular clock, but there's no way I'm not sure how I feel about that.

+ Take off your makeup when you get home
Let your skin breathe and wipe off all the dirt and oil that's built up during the day. Even if you keep your face makeup pretty light like I do, everyone's skin gets sweatier and oiler during the summer, so make sure you keep yours clean to avoid any breakouts!

+ Eat well!
I feel like this one is pretty obvious, but it should still be said. Whole wheat and grains, fruits, vegetables, and beans are your friends.

What do you do to stay healthy?
