Friyay // July 15

TGIF! This week flew by, even though it started a bit too early; I was up until 2 AM Sunday night trying to secure a parking permit for school (the site opened at midnight and crashed multiple times before I was able to take my virtual place as 429th in line). Anyway... I'm always exhausted on Fridays because I work every day from 8 AM-2PM, with roughly half of the six hours spent outdoors in the 93 degrees-plus-humidity Miami heat. I'm really looking forward to next week because I'm only working Monday and Tuesday, so we can head over to Naples Wednesday morning!

+ Did you check out my vinyl wishlist from earlier this week?

+ I can't believe it's already been a month and a half since I started regularly blogging. After trying to consistently blog more than once, and losing interest and motivation each time, I wasn't sure if I'd last this time around, either. But I'm truly loving it and would have never thought I'd be as into it as I am. I'm excited to see what direction this all goes in and where blogging takes me.

+Have you tried chocolate chip brownie-flavored Lara bars?! If not, do yourself a favor and go buy some. Like, right now.

+ Saint Motel announced their album release and new tour dates earlier this week. If all goes as planned, I'll be at the NYC date on October 21, which also happens to be the day the album drops :)

+ Today is the last day of my five-day "vegan" challenge. Excusing half of a ham, egg, and cheese bagel on Monday morning (really, I completely forgot I wasn't "supposed" to eat meat and dairy), a stray chicken nugget on Tuesday, and a couple of doughnuts on Thursday, I've kept to a vegan (excluding eggs) diet. That being said, I'm not sure if this challenge can even be validated, but hey, #freedoughnuts.

+ Some of the pieces in this Silver Lake apartment are just stunning. And I'm naturally interested in anything having to do with East LA ;)

How was your week?

  1. I love reading these weekly reviews! You've totally inspired me to try a vegan week before the summer is over - it sounds like an interesting challenge. I can't wait to read your next catch-up post!

    1. This type of post is one of my favorites to read, too :) Definitely let me know if you end up going vegan/how it goes!
