I've been on this kick since I got home from school a few weeks ago. A positivity kick. I've been writing all kinds of quotes and Bible verses on sticky notes- and non-sticky notes- and placing the messages on top of my phone, so I will read them before I even get out of bed. One of my favorites is "You can't have a better tomorrow if you're still thinking about yesterday." I tend to get down on myself about what I should have done or said or thought when in reality, when something has already happened, I cannot go back and change how I handled it at the time. A lyric has been speaking to me, too. Or an entire chorus, really, but one lyric in particular: "We live on a feeling."

I'm still trying to figure out what living on a feeling feels like exactly, but I've really been trying to live by that corny "live in the moment" motto and make the most of every minute. Literally. I have been trying to avoid the "I'm bored" sigh of resignation and feelings of purposelessness by filling up my time with positive activities, even if that means just going out to get an iced coffee.

"Hold tight to each moment//We live on a feeling..."
